Let's Celebrate!
I told you all, that I started 2018 with EVEN MORE determination, and EVEN GREATER EXPECTATION! To fight like a warrior, to stay focused, and in the face of fear, to choose courage. So, it's AMAZING that before January came to a close, I ALREADY have so much to celebrate, that far exceeded my expectations!!

This update is a little over due, but I had to share! Here we are cruis'en into February, with so much to celebrate already. It makes me think, wow, what will the coming months bring? I could share SO much more than this blog will reveal, but I wouldn't get any work done! Lol
If a picture is worth a 1000 words, I thought I'd throw a few words mixed with some pictures, and hope you grasp what has me celebrating, and looking forward with GREATER expectation!
Every year since 2015, I have slotted off the last weekend in January as my "Breakforth weekend." And in case you don't know what Breakforth is, let me just tell you, that the vision for the conference is to unify, serve, equip and empower others to live out the mission of Jesus.
I can only speak from my own experiences, but I have definitely been equipped and empowered through the ministry of these Breakforth conferences.
Year after year, God used the teachers, artist, and even the people I would meet at lunch to speak into my life in a powerful way. (I could write another 3 blogs on that alone) But I'll just share few pictures so you can catch a glimpse of the moments that make these weekends so special.
Meeting Kay Arthur at my first ever Breakforth experience in 2015, had a profound impact on me, she definitely fueled my desire to study the scriptures.
Then, in 2016, I met Philip Yancey, and is wife Janet...
who not only spoke into my life, but read my book and expressed how they were moved by God's overcoming power in mine and Vaughan's life.
Philip Yancey, the author of "What's so amazing about Grace," calls me a "true grace dispenser"
I can't help but think of that scripture in Hebrews 10:24-27
"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching." (NIV)
Now back to this year, I where I meet Scott Lindsey, and he introduces me to the Logos software I don't want to get into it now, but this software will save SO much time in my study of the scriptures, and in my busy schedule that is AWESOME! There are just too many moments for one blog! But I also love those God moments you have when your not really expecting to find them!
Each year, I would leave thinking " God, how are you going to top this year? So, as I approached Breakforth 2018, I was excited and filled with GREAT EXPECTATION! Because as as you've already seen, I have reason to CELEBRATE!
But what I haven't shared with you yet, is... JUST DAYS before the start of the conference, I was informed that my dear friend Leslie Varity from Celebration church, passed my name onto Cathie Ostapckuk, who is founder of with Gather woman, and also in charge of the "We are Brave" women conference at Breakforth.
The next thing I know receive a message from the amazing Helen Burns. Asking me to participate in the "We are Brave" Pre-Conference workshop. She said, I would be on a panel with 4 other women, and we would each have a few minutes to share at the close of her segment.
WHAT???? Are you kidding me? I get to share that platform with some of the most inspirational speakers to ever take the stage?

You will be seeing this story in the near future, because Compassion was so moved by how God gave us the name of the girl we were to sponsor, that they chose our story as one they would like to highlight.

Another amazing moment for me, was meeting and connecting with Sharol Josephson. Sharol and her husband Neil, who are apart of Power to Change ministries, were our Breakforth host this year, who are also strong supporters of Compassion Canada.

I'm sure you can now understand from this little glimpse, why I have even GREATER expectation, with even more reasons to CELEBRATE!
