Be Different!

Through many failed attempts at being NORMAL or the SAME, I've learnt that being normal or the same as everyone else was so overrated.

My mother even said to me one time, "Vahen, if life were normal, and you didn't have some drama to deal with, you'd be bored. I believe she was definitely telling me I was different.." Haha

And even though I believe she was right, I realized that this type of different was not always a healthy thing. Because many times, my motives were unpure and self seeking. But when God got a hold of me, and took my pride and self seeking desires, and filled me with a passion and desire to change this world, it became clear, that God created me this way..

To be different! Saying, I CAN USE THAT... to give HIM glory.

Now, my Prayer is, as Micah Tyler puts it in his new song "Different,"

I want to be different I want to be changed.

Till all of me is gone, and all that remains,

is a fire so bright, that all the world will see

That there's something different..

So God, come and be different in ME!

And so, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind He will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship Him. Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think.

Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
